Case study

Implementation of a system that automatically recognizes the license plates of vehicles parked in the Paid Parking Zone. The information relates to the registration number, GPS position of the car, car brand and the distance from the e-control vehicle. The data obtained during the e-control is compared with the database contained in the E-control system of the Municipal Roads Authority in Warsaw. Based on the data from the system, owners of vehicles occupying a parking slots without a valid ticket are issued fines in the form of a fine.

The first year of operation of e-control resulted in approximately 68,000 km distance travelled and 1.3 million vehicles inspected. During this time, over 165,000 fines for not paying for a parking slots in parking paid zones. Analyzes have shown that e-control vehicles are 10 times more effective than foot patrols!
