Urban Space

Urban Space

Caring for urban space is one of the most important issues related to improving the quality and comfort of living in the city. Effective planning of the city structure and management of public space brings many benefits both for people involved in decision-making processes and city citizens.

At Smart Factor, we believe that the use of modern technologies is an opportunity to transform cities into smart cities, where care for public space, the environment, communication, access to information and the safety of residents is the key to creating a dream place to live.

Advertising in public space

We provide a comprehensive inventory of advertising media in public space using precise laser scanning.

Full information about the actual state of advertisements along the road facilitates the implementation of the assumptions of the Landscape Resolution of a given city.

01

As a result of the measurement, a GIS database is created, containing information about advertising media, taking into account their:

  • Location,
  • The surface,
  • Dimensions,
  • Type,
  • Information from the decision to allow the placement of an advertisement (for lane advertisements)

The developed inventory in the form of a database and classified 3D point cloud is available in SmartGEM. Access to full information on the current situation in public space enables effective management of the landscape order and implementation of the provisions of the Landscape Resolution.

Our vision of improving the quality of public space has been appreciated by the organizers of Warsaw Booster. The solution developed by us won the first place in the Warsaw Booster'19 acceleration program, beating 13 other projects.

Greenery management

Photos together with high-resolution point clouds also provide comprehensive information about greenery in the city.

Thanks to data processing algorithms, we are able to obtain information about the quality and location of green areas in the city.

02

Access to high-quality data in the form of a 3D point cloud and GIS database enables efficient management of green areas in the city, .: landscape analyzes), as well as performing analyzes of collisions between greenery and infrastructure (e.g. power lines)

Digital Twin

Digital Twin, or digital twin, is a solution that is rapidly revolutionizing the market.

A precisely made replica of physical objects (reality capture), a process or the entire environment, mapped in a virtual space, provides many new opportunities for the development of services and products based on digital models.

03

Using the potential of laser scanning, Smart Factor generates 3D data representing the urban space in the road lane and the surrounding area.

The representation of reality, based on the processed and classified 3D point cloud, allows you to measure the distance, height and area of a given object. Accurately mapped geometry is a source of information for carrying out numerous analyzes as well as coordinating management processes.

Revitalization

The scope of services related to urban space includes the provision of reliable data for the needs related to revitalization in the city.

Data in the form of a 3D point cloud, photo recording with the possibility of recreating a 360-degree panorama, as well as a GIS database are materials that allow for the identification and appropriate documentation of degraded areas and completed revitalization processes. Based on the materials provided, it is possible to carry out extensive work related to the improvement of infrastructure and buildings in the city.

04

As part of the revitalization of urban space, Smart Factor offers:

  • Assessment of the degree of degradation of urban areas (streets / public spaces)
  • Visualizations and 3D models,
  • 360 degree panoramas as photographic documentation.

Vision zero

More than 3,500 people die annually on Polish roads, which makes our country one of the leading European countries where the roads are the most dangerous.
.
To minimize the risk of fatal accidents to zero, Smart Factor provides the necessary information about the current state of the road infrastructure, traffic organization as well as data on traffic and dynamic changes in the road lane.

05

Adaptation to climate change

The city administration faces a number of challenges related to climate change. Therefore, we offer cities comprehensive services that increase their resilience and adapt to the upcoming changes.

In this regard, we offer a comprehensive inventory of street development, taking into account the percentage of biologically active or permeable area. We are also able to determine the level of shading and greening of the road lane.

We meet the needs of modern cities, supporting them in their digital transformation into smart cities. By making a detailed inventory of urban space, in particular the so-called of the road lane, we obtain valuable data for local government and commercial clients, improving the management and maintenance processes of entities subordinate to them.
