PARKING SPACE ROTATION ANALYSIS

Project implementation - 2020/2021.

Problem identified:

Difficult access to parking spaces in housing estates, which are also service centers. There is no information on the actual need for parking spaces, resulting from the migration of newcomers.

Challenges / Objective:

Analysis of drivers' behavior in selected Warsaw districts and assessment of the availability of parking spaces depending on the time of day. Providing comprehensive information in the form of a database of the rotation of parking spaces to the Municipal Roads Administration in Warsaw in order to optimize the operation of Paid Parking Zones.

Solution:

Inventory of the existing road lane, parking spaces and traffic organization. The use of a mobile mapping system, which based on a set of sensors and a precise geolocation system, using AI algorithms, enables the acquisition and analysis of vehicle behavior in the SPP.

Having full information of the traffic situation and about Paid Parking Zones, we provide statistics that enable for:
* identification of parked cars in the parking zones (resident of the district, city, or a visitor);
* specification of the average time of parking,
* analysis of the rotation of parking slots during the day,
* determining the availability of parking slots during the day (in the vicinity of housing estates, offices, service facilities, etc.).
